2019 – Another Savage Year for Budding Digital India!
We live in a digital world. And, who could ignore this.
Hey, this is Shivani aka sassyscribbler, and I am a content writer at Orionators!
Today, standing at the beginning of 2020, I am here with a bombarding flashback of India’s digital journey.
And, here’s how we all witnessed the amazing 2019:
- There were ‘up’s and down’s’ in the political world,
- There were some ‘rolling on the floor laughing’ moments,
- While some of them left us gasping and wondered!
India has grown DIGITALLY and lived every 2019 moment DIGITALLY!
Without further ado, let’s begin.
Beginning with the binge-watching, we all have done this year! (TBH, I have watched each one them 5 times! #noguilty). From Manoj Bajpayee entertaining us to death with the Family Man series to the gasping end of the Sacred Games 2, we have lived the web-series culture.
Do you know?
Millions of people were glued on their TV screens and mobile phones on Netflix when it was about to be live at 12 AM on 15th August.
With companies like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, the streaming went global digitally! Indian audience has shifted to the digital mode for entertainment rather than the TV serials.
Now we should talk about the MEME war that was on fire between India and Pakistan.
As the much anticipated India-Pakistan world cup was coming close, people turned towards their social media and started the meme war.
This shows how Indian people have turned onto memes to bring out humor in the most effective manner! Memes are used as a way to communicate with audience and this is how big brands have shifted towards social media and gone digital.
And, oh lord, who can forget how every Indian switched on their TV sets to see Chandrayan 2, the most complex mission. It was a partially successful mission that brought all Indian together.
The power of the digital world could be seen vividly, as everyone started sharing the news on social media platforms.
And, yeah, we were the heroes in the space program!
Next on the line, we witnessed how social media can make an acceptable or a funny talent of a common person, a celebrity overnight!
The singing talent Ranu Mondal got a chance to work with Himesh Reshammiya which in turn made her a celebrity. This wouldn’t have been the case, if the video didn’t get viral through digital platforms!
And, wait guys, I have a favorite!
It’s too hard to care if you are this relaxed!
If you remember this dialog, you might be a big fan of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. s
F.R.I.E.N.D.S completed 25 years and it made the digital world go crazy! People used Friends famous dialogues to promote their brands and inculcate a fun wave amidst the audience.
(And while new shows may come and go, F.R.I.E.N.D.S will stay forever. And, thanks to the digital world!)
Coming to the end, “500 Rs. Lele Par Land Krwa De”. Yeah, haha, who can forget these epic lines! And, ever wondered, what if the social media wasn’t there, we would have missed on all the puns and funny one-liners.
Well, this is what 2019 gave us!
We have grown digitally! And, this is the new world.
